Community Pies for The Next Door Inc.

As of July 1st, 2023 - our newest recipient of the Community Pie Fundraiser is The Next Door Inc. We have teamed up with TND to help generate funds for the Pride Alliance Program here in the Gorge!

Columbia Gorge Pride Alliance (CGPA) was founded in 2017 as a volunteer-run organization and joined The Next Door, Inc. in March 2022. CGPA’s mission is to create a safe and welcoming community for LGBTQIA2S+ of all ages, connect LGBTQIA2S+ across the Gorge, and advocate for equity and justice. Programs include an LGBTQIA2S+ Youth Leadership Council for ages 15-20, connecting LGBTQIA2S+ of all ages to health and legal services, school outreach, and Pride programming.

At The Next Door, Inc. (TNDI) we envision a supportive community where all children and families are safe, healthy, and valued. TNDI was founded in 1971 to address the unmet need for support services for youth in the Columbia Gorge. Today, TNDI has over 35 programs that constantly strive to fulfill our mission of "opening doors to new possibilities by strengthening children and families and improving communities."

By enjoying our Community Pies here at Pizza Leona you are contributing to the betterment of the LGBTQIA2S+ community here in the Gorge! Come on by or order online! Our Community Pie changes weekly with new toppings and flavors.

Community Pies for Culture Seed Nonprofit!

We are so thrilled to be partnering with Culture Seed @cultureseednonprofit for our Community Pie foundation, in hopes to generate funds to go towards all the amazing work they do for our community’s youth. When you enjoy a community pie with us, you donate 15% towards Culture Seed!

CultureSeed holds multiple factors that influence mental health in a stable and always available container—the outdoors. Youth engage in healing outdoor education, recreation, related economic opportunities and mentorship, while strengthening connection to community. The degree to which individuals feel a part of a community is not only measured by the extent to which we express and show concern for one another, but also by the extent to which one feels represented in their environment.

HERE IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP @cultureseednonprofit Please join CultureSeed on March 16, 2023 at EVO in Hood River for CultureSeed's transportation fundraiser! If you already bought raffle tickets they will be valid for the March event! And if you haven’t bought tickets the link is on their Instagram page THE PLAN: Raise 30k for CultureSeed’s second van by Spring of 2023. They also hope to raise 10k for a gas and maintenance fund.

Klickitat County Search & Rescue!

In 2022 our Community Pie Fundraiser recipient was our Klickitat County Search & Rescue!

Klickitat County Search & Rescue consists of 50+ volunteers from our community working hard to help those in need in our county. The volunteers are motivated members of the community who learn skills in radio, navigation, rope rescue, swiftwater rescue, mantracking, k9 search and rescue and wilderness search among others. Many of their members join with base knowledge in some or many of these skills while others use this as a platform to learn more and help their community in the process.

Thank you to all our pizza lovers & community members for enjoying our community pies in 2022! With your orders we managed to earn $838.00 for our Search & Rescue here in Klickitat Co.

White Salmon Community Youth Center

Your community pie purchases raised $256 that was sent to this awesome center that provides a safe place for kids in our community to socialize, play, learn.

WAGAP’s Community Youth Center began in 1994 as a recreational and educational drop-in center for at-risk youth. Over the last 25 years the Center has become an important local resource and an integral part of the community’s efforts to provide safe, quality activity options for all kids.

Fully equipped for fun with a pool table, foosball and ping pong tables, five computers with limited internet access, video and board games, music, garden space, books and lots more. The Center offers guided hands-on activities: art projects with local artists, Dinner Nights and Kids Can Cook, Girl’s Circle by the Domestic Violence Prevention Program and other workshops, along with opportunities to provide community service. Youth Center members also participate in maintaining a beautiful community garden. Produce that isn't eaten by the kids is sold to local restaurants!

Pizza Leona's Community Pie features the Wallace & Priscilla Stevenson Intermediate School Band

Every week we make a special pie here at Pizza Leona, called the Community Pie. The sales of this pizza are tallie up at the end of each quarter and then we donate 15% of the proceeds to a local organization doing cool stuff in our community! This quarter and NEXT! Will be going to the WPSIS & Henkle Middle School Band Boosters Club. The Boosters funds instruments, concerts, music themed trips and more for these students. This year these kids dont have the opportunity to play live with each other or for their families, so we thought lets publish their concerts here! Sit back and enjoy! And dont forget to buy a Community Pie from Pizza Leona!

Community Pie gives to the White Salmon Band Students!

This quarter our Community Pie donation will go to the White Salmon Band Booster Club. Every Community Pie sold gets tallied and on March 31, we will donate 15% of all the proceeds to the Band Boosters. All month we will be showcasing the Intermediate School band students. Help these aspiring music kids raise money for instruments, band trips and more! To donate directly to them follow this link https://cash.app/app/PQJWZGB or you can send a check to PO Box 1702, White Salmon WA 98672. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T5w-dIu3HXcBZE53s84p-25N8VRqAPMA/view?usp=sharing_eil&ts=5fd10abd

The Pie That Gives Back!

Pizza Leona’s has a special pie each week, called the Community Pie. Every Quarter we choose a different local organization doing cool stuff for our community, then we collect 15% of each community pie sold and donate that money to that organization. Its our way of always giving back to the community we love. So far we have donated to The White Salmon Valley K-8 PTO, The White Salmon Parks and Rec Board for continuing to work hard for a new pool for our community, The Washington Gorge Action Program, and The White Salmon Arts Council, and more! The toppings on this pie change each week on Wednesday, so be sure to check in and see what kind of creative toppings we’ve combined this week, and purchase the pie that gives back!
